Paediatric Endocrinology

Endocrinology deals with hormonal imbalance in infancy, childhood and the teenage years more frequently than we think. Our Paediatric Endocrinology team help children experiencing physical or emotional issues related to hormones and the glands which produce them. Most commonly these issues are seen as growth, puberty, sexual development, obesity, thyroid, or diabetes problems.

Paediatric Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology is the treatment of paediatric digestive issues, with a particular focus on diagnosing and treating disorders of the stomach, small and large bowel, liver and pancreas.

We help with: Coeliac disease, functional gastrointestinal disorders, chronic abdominal pain, constipation and encopresis, gastro-oesophageal reflux, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, chronic diarrhoea, oesophagal disorders, liver disease, and feeding difficulties and disorders.

Paediatric Allergy and Immunology

Allergies and disorders of the immune system are common in young children and can often present in some form for many years. We support children with food allergies and intolerances, hayfever, eczema, hives and angioedema, as well as those suffering recurrent infections. Our allergy and immunology team has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of children with immune system disorders and can offer a range of testing methods.

Paediatric Dietary Service

Nutrition is important in all stages of life, but especially in the young when weight and eating disorders can be confusing and frustrating for the whole family. Our specialists have experience providing practical and realistic advice to children, and their families, who have gut issues, growth issues, are fussy eaters, or have weight management issues.

Child and family psychology
