Dr Stanley Ng BBMedSc, BHB, MBChB, DCH, FRACP

General Paediatrician

Stanley was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Wellington. He completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Genetics and Molecular Pathology before embarking on medical school at the University of Auckland. He graduated in 2009 and completed his Paediatric training throughout New Zealand in tertiary centres such as Wellington Children’s Hospital and Auckland Starship Hospital as well as secondary centres such as Waitakere, Hutt Valley, Nelson and Blenheim Hospitals.

Stanley qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2018 and then worked as a General Paediatrician and the Clinical Lead of the Neonatal Unit at Gisborne Hospital until 2024 when he relocated to Hutt Valley Hospital where he works across General Paediatrics and the Child Development Service. Working in a wide range of different clinical settings within New Zealand, Stanley has developed a wide range of skills in managing multiple areas of child health and development, including but not exclusive to:

– Neonatal issues – e.g. jaundice, reflux, colic,
– Neurodevelopmental difficulties – e.g. ADHD, Autism, Global Developmental Delay
– Respiratory issues – e.g. chronic cough, asthma
– Eczema and other skin problems
– Food allergies or intolerances
– Neurological issues e.g. headaches, seizures
– Toileting issues e.g. urinary tract infections, bedwetting, constipation, soiling
– Gastrointestinal issues e.g. abdominal pains

Stanley is also able to converse fluently in Cantonese and looks forward to see you and your
whānau in clinic.
