I started my career as a Speech-Language Therapist at the Ministry of Education in South Auckland and over the past 14 years I have worked in roles across both health and education in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Upon joining the Kidz First Child Development Service at Counties Manukau Health in 2016 I began my journey specialising in paediatric feeding. During my 8 years in the role, I supported babies and young children with a wide range of diagnoses including: prematurity, Cleft Lip and Palate, Paediatric Feeding Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay, oro-motor difficulties such as chewing and swallowing concerns (including aspiration). I was also involved in coordinating and running the Paediatric Videofluoroscopy clinic at Middlemore Hospital.
I love being able to use my skills and knowledge to support children and their families to overcome feeding challenges, help them to thrive and make mealtimes enjoyable.
Outside of work I am a mum to 4-year-old twins. As a family we love exploring new places with our dog and can often be found at the park or the beach.
